3 days holiday

Get a holiday for 3 days! From Friday to Sunday. Actually I feel less, but it's an occasion to refresh my brain from the crazy college. Although tomorrow we have to go to campus again again and study. Huaahh!

Went to Mikie Holiday with Intan, Valen, Arisma, Erda, Nurul, Amal, Ikhwan, and Nazim. You  know, this is my first time go to Berastagi. (Wow, finally I can go there after months of living in North Sumatera.) These are the pics:

Cold but hot? Yess, very shiny there whereas it's windy. Freak! It makes our skin become darker. Wahh, I have to bleach it again.

And on Saturday-Sunday, I join 'saHIVa's training'. This is one of my campus organizations, for the people who care about drugs and HIV/AIDS. Got the new experiences, new challenges, new friends. And I has authorized as a volunteer of drugs XXVI generation. Hmmph, I like social activity actually, but I haven't really sure to become a volunteer here, because of many considerations. But I think, I want to learn before.


--->>> I got an invitation email from Mr. Adi Surantha (fashion stylist). An invitation for front row chair at Pondok Indah Mall Fashion Week 2011: Summer Fashiontastic on April 30th-May 8th 2011. Amazing! I think I'm not really a fashion blogger. I just love the arts, and fashion is one of them. Thanks anyway for the invitation sir, but I live far enough from Jakarta, so maybe can't attend the event. If only I was in Jakarta, I'll definitely attend! :)

BOAT

Yaiyyy, had a fun holiday yesterday!

Went to Parapat, Lake Toba with Aryani Agiza, Iqbal Sirait, Aulia Suci, and Vivi, with a backpack each. Backpacking time! It's about 5 hours from Medan, and we went there by a bus, a very crowded bus. The only thing that's not fun of this trip is the BUS! I often see in TV that many bus with many hucksters hanging around on the bus. But I never have myself experienced about it before, and yesterdey I was! Hhahaaa. Also the driver, driving it very fast on the winding road. And as you know, beside of the road is the abyss. So scary!

I've ever been here before, when FKG's inauguration. And the view in Lake Toba is still very very amazing as before. What a beautiful lake! If you're a photographer, I recommend this place. You have to go here, and make some photo shoot.

So far, I enjoyed this holiday. Just 1 day, and not much that we can do. Sitting on the edge of lake, sharing and talking about anything of us. Hanging around, boat, cross the lake. We go to Samosir Island, especially Tomok area. There's our friend there, Faber Sidabutar. Yes of course we met him there. Visit the museum, etc. So poor, we can't watch 'Sigale-gale' Show, because of the time. Sigale-gale is something like puppet, that can be dancing.

Tired, sleepy, headache, lazy.

Tired, sleepy, headache, and lazy.
Yes, that's all I feel now. I'm here, Medan, arrived this afternoon. Back to my boarding house again, and I found it's very very dirty, a lot of cobwebs and dust! Of course, more or less it's about 1 month I leave it. Hhahaa, so neglected, pity of it!

Oke, this time to be autonomous, independent!

I had to transit at Batam too apparently, at Hang Nadim Airport. I guess, this airport is very nice and great. The one of the most beautiful airport in Indonesia.
Huahh, but do you know what I was thinking first? I think that I was wrong on the airplane! Furthermore, this is my first time here. Hhahahaaa.
Luckily, it's not, just transit. Hhahaa, you can imagine that it's the real. Maybe I should wait until tomorrow to arrived at Medan. Or even pay anymore, wawaawaaaw!


Hmpph, actually we started studying again on January 24th, still more than 1 week anymore. But I come earlier to fill the KRS form. I hear that a lot of my friends are already done about this.
And me? Ohh I don't know, not yet started, even I don't understand how to fill! Huahhh crazy on me! Whereas, Saturday is the last day to complete it, so I only have 2 days more. Yess, certainly I'm a great woman, very very great until drop! Hhahaaa.

--->>> So, I have to go to campus tomorrow, and must take care the KRS that I don't understand. GREAT!

Wah, I'm so excited because I will go home tomorrow. Yess, hahaaa.
I miss my home so much, also my family and my friends in Lampung. Can't wait until we meet again. Do they miss me too?

But actually, there's a little hard for me when I leave this town, Medan. I don't know why, I think a half of my heart have been here. Where many friends are here, care to me. Where I study here for the better future. Will miss them so much until one month ahead!

Di IMT-GT 12th ini, USU ngirim 8 tim dari 6 cabang yg bakal show, yaitu futsal putra, volley putri, badminton (putra+putri), tennis (putra+putri), seminar, dan budaya.

Dan dari ke-6 cabang itu memang cuma atlet tennis yg berpanas-panas ria, scara yg laen show di indoor!

Acaranya asik banget, karena disana kita gak cuma bertanding, tapi ini ajang ngalor-ngidul, kesempatan untuk ketemu temen-temen baru dari budaya yg berbeda, pokoknya menjalin persahabatan gitu deh.

Dan ternyata memang seru! Kadang orang-orang Thailand gak ngerti bahasa kita, kita juga gak ngerti bahasa mereka. Ujung-ujungnya komunikasi pake bahasa isyarat. Hhahaa! Juga pemikiran orang dari umur yg berbeda-beda juga, gue jadi bisa bertukar pikiran sama mahasiswa2 yg udah S2 di Malaysia, ataupun sama bapak-bapak petinggi USU.

Closing Ceremony

Perunggu!

Katanya sih pas Closing Ceremony, selesainya ada ajeb-ajeb gitu deh. Dan sayangnya, kita udah balik! Ihh tau gitu mah gue betah-betahin deh gak balik duluan. Tadinya sih gue ama Kak Winda mau balik lagi, trus kata Kak Bila gak usah, yaudah kita nurut deh. Ahh tapi sayang banget kan yaaa.

Yess, dari computer center inilah

kita bisa berhubungan dengan kampung halaman

tanpa takut pulsa habis! hehehee.

Tanggal 30 November, subuh-subuh setelah closing ceremony kita nunggu bus. Udah gak sempet tidur lagi setelah closing, akhirnya bergosip aja di koridor.
Gue sempet ngasih topi gue yg ada namanya itu, ke anak Thaksin yg gue gak tau siapa namanya. Trus dia ngasih gue pin Unimed, dari temennya katanya. Nah, buat apa gue pin Unimed, satu kota gini kan! Yaudah, akhirnya gue tuker pin Thaksin Univ dari anak Thaksin yg gue gk tau siapa namanya juga. Hhehee.

Mampir ke Penang dulu buat shopping-shopping bentar. Trus capcus lagi ke bandara nunggu pesawat yg ampuuun ampuun gk bisa ngomong gua nungguin check in nya. Dan kita balik ke medan dengan segudang cerita!

Dari IMT-GT ini, kita ketemu sama orang-orang hebat dan baiik banget.

Si Bank, wasit cowok lucu. Asli dia lucu banget lho. Dia gak gitu ngerti bahasa inggris, jadi waktu nge-wasit-in agak2 aneh gitu pronunciation nya. Hhaha, kita sering minta makanan tradisional Thai ama dia, juga maen ilupyu-ilupyu-an pake bahasa isyarat!

Sampe sekarang kalo gue chatting ama dia pun, dia cuma yes-no aja palingan, hahaaa..

Trus Ibnu, anak tenis malaysia yg seru. Pengetahuannya luas, dan dia jg udah S2, dewasa alias om, hahaa!

Rusdee, cowok yg agak spesial (ehm maksud spesial dsini bukan spesial buat gue, tapi yahh u know). Dia yg sering nemenin kita jalan-jalan. Bahkan waktu perpisahan dia sempet mau nangis setelah cipika-cipiki ama kita!

Terutama LO kita, Bee and Tarn! Mereka setiaa banget, kita minta tolong-ini itu, nanya apa aja pasti dibantuin ama mereka. Aduuh baek banget.

Gue kangen Thaksin, gue kangen makan di kantin nya lagi, gue kangen mandi ramean sambil bergosip, gue kangen pake bahasa isyarat, gue kangen semuuaaa!

I miss you all...

Filosofi Mawar

Awal kedatangan di Thailand, tim USU disambut mahasiswa/i Thaksin Univ pake bunga mawar asli warna pink gitu deh. Baguuss banget! Yess, I love the flowers.
Banyak cowok-cowok yg gak suka bunga trus dibuang-buangin. Yaudah daripada tuh bunga nganggur, gua  minta-mintain aja. Terus bunga mawar itu gua rangkai lagi, jadiin buket.

Begitu sampe di asrama, tuh bunga gua potong miring (tau kan maksudnya biar nyerap air, jadi gak gampang layu), gua masukkin dalam botol plastik isi air. Intinya, tuh bunga mawar gua pelihara, gua rawat deh, walaupun cuma 2 bunga doang sih.

Sampe beberapa hari, tuh bunga masih seger aja. Wah masih oke lah pokoknya.
Ehh ternyata setelah hari ke-4 udah mulai layu sedikit-dikit.
Dan hari ke-6 itu bunga memang udah bener-bener busuk, air nya juga udah agak keruh gimana gitu.
Jadi artinya, itu memang nunjukkin waktunya kita pulang! Balik lagi ke Medan, kuliah lagi, menajalani hari jelek penuh tugas, sukur dehhh lo.
Sekarang gua udah di Medan dengan fisik yg sangat rapuh.


PS: Well, kali ini gua memang cuma ngomongin bunga. Singkat, padat.
Laen kali bakal gua bahas gimana gua di Thailand, plus foto2 nya deh, tungguin aja yaa.

--->>> Asli gua kurang tidur, masih banyak utang tidur gua selama beberapa hari ini, dan sekarang gua udah ngantuk banget, sedangkan barang-barang belom gua beresin, sementara besok pagi gua udah kuliah lagi kayak biasa. Huahhh!

Gue masih sehat walafiat, baik-baik saja di Thailand, jadi gak usah khawatir. Ini siaran langsung dari Thaksin University, di ruang komputer universitas gratisan buat peserta IMT-GT nya.

Gue punya kabar bagus! Iyaa beneran lho bagus,

Ciyee, dapet perunggu aja bangga. Trus kenapa gitu dress?
Seenggaknya dapet medali lho, dan ini medali pertama dari kontingen USU.

Selama maen tenis, anak2 USU emang paling bawel. Minta-mintain kue tradisional lah ama referee nya (serius, kue tradisional thai enak banget! kayak pulut ketan gitu), yg minta minum lah, minjem bola lah, maen jodoh-jodohan lah sama referee2 itu, ilopyu-ilopyu an gitu deh, ada yg les privat tulisan thailand lah, ah ada2 aja deh tingkahnya kita. Hhaha, mereka sih ketawa2 aja. Gak tau ngerti bahasa kita apa nggak. Memang itu kan maksud pertandingan ini, kayak yg dibilang Pak Eddy (pembantu rektor 3) waktu kita cerita tentang ini,

"Oooh gak apa-apa, memang sebenernya tujuan pertandingan persahabatan itu, gak terlalu mencari juara, yg penting nyari banyak teman dr berbagai negara."

Yess, like this pak!

Dan lucu nya, di lapangan kami ditonton monyet-monyet hutan! Apa dress? Iya monyet beneran!
Hahha, mungkin kalian mikir aneh, gue juga awalnya mikir gitu. Di lapangan tennis kok ada monyet?!! Tapi lama-lama akhirnya biasa juga. Ternyata di Thailand monyet tuh banyak, dan sangat sangat biasa. Jadi orang-orang disini udah gak kaget lagi deh ngeliat monyet. Selama kita gak megang makanan sih gak apa-apa tuh monyet gak akan ngeganggu. Hhaha, keren kan ada monyet nonton tennis?


Selesai itu, kita shopping-shopping di Hat Yai (semacam Orchard Road nya Singapur) yg jauuuh banget dari asrama. Cuma anak-anak tennis putri aja, sama bapak-bapak pejabat USU juga (eh baek lho mereka, kita diajak jalan, dibayarin naek van, ditraktir makan lagi. Boss gitu!). Sumpah deh, seharian pun gak akan cukup shopping disini!
Ke Sabila Beach, katanya sih ada mitos tentang patung Mermaid gitu. Kalo ada cowok megang patungnya, bakal dapet jodoh orang Thailand. Hhahhaa, percaya gak lo?


Akhirnya, IMT-GT udah hampir abis, ini udah hari ke-5 lho. Huaahh, cepet yaa.. Besok closing ceremony nya, bagi-bagi medali. Trus dadah deh!

Sekian, gue mau balik ke kamar dulu, karena banyak yg harus gue beresin dari shopping tadi. Dan agaknya besok gue bakal shopping lagi. Hhaha, asik lah yaa. Pulang-pulang ke Medan, tugas numpuk! Mampus lah gue.

Hi, I'm in Thailand now!
I just want to share a little in this post, later I'll tell you more. Be patient oke!

First, you can check http://www.imtgt.org/index.htm for more information about IMT-GT. We spent the night at Thaksin University's Dormitory, all of participants here. From many universities, and 3 countries.

The peoples are so kind and friendly here, and the cultural is still religious. There are two officials for USU's tennis athletes, their names are Bee and Tan, the students of Thaksin University.
But, do you know our problems here?

The Thainesse are can't speak english very well, they can't speak Melayu too.

So how we could get the converstation? By 'isyarat' language of course. Hhahahaa.

The food also unusual in our tongue, it's very spicy and hot I think. Huauahuaa! But they have the vegetables and egg luckily, and I just ate it.

Yesterday is the opening ceremony on the night. And it's very cool, when the countries shows their cultural performance one another. Something like cultural change. GREAT!

I also get more friends from another athlete, from Badminton, Volley, Football, etc. And also from another campus, like Unimed, Thaksin, Malaysia, Thailand, and more. Nice to meet you, guys!


*About the tournament
USU's tennis team (men tennis and women) are already lose for two times.
The men won't play again tomorrow. But the women team is still play.
We lose by PSU (Prince of Songkhla University) yesterday, and today we lose by Unimed. Actually we're very tired, the schedule is so fully. At least we are traveling abroad! Hhahaha.
We hope we'll win tomorrow, pray for us yaa...

When I can go home?

I don’t know whether I should be happy or not with the last holiday, it was a very short holiday! Actually I like to go to campus, but we need more holidays to take a rest, to gathering with our families, to meet our high school friends, and to celebrate The Ied Day. Oh ya although it’s a little bit late, I want to convey Happy Ied for everyone who celebrate it! Minal Aidin ya. Give me the cakes yaaa! Hahaa.

Previously, I thought that I didn’t go anywhere. But suddenly I find the promo ticket to Jakarta when I was browsing! So, I booked it quickly. Went to Jakarta, go to my Grandma’s home again and again (well, Jakarta become my destination when I got the holiday. Always! And it happened again! So boring!) Although for 3 days only, but at least, I met my families!

There, we just went to mall and mall (yah, kalo itu sih di Medan jg banyak! Ngapain lah jauh2 ke Jakarta kalo cuma ke mall doang?). Luckyly, my sister and I went to Dufan in the 2nd day. Just two of us! Predictable that was very crowded because of the holiday! So, we just play a few games, and took the photos more. Heheee!

I went back to Medan earlier than they went to Lampung. I remember the time when I left my home 2 months ago. When I got the notification that I passed the university in USU, and I decided to accept it. I packed my suitcase in a hurry, and left my home quickly also! There was no time to say good bye with my home, with my pillow and bolster. And it was very surprised me, at the same time it makes me homesick! Because I never imagine to continue my study here before, Medan. And sadly, I’m just going to go home until the end of this year. Huahhh, it’s still very long!

Inaguration at Toba Lake

Last weekend I spent my night at Parapat, Toba Lake with FKG USU’s freshmen and seniors. It’s Inaguration Day (the convivial evening after OSPEK). So sleepy I felt, but the event was nice enough and so impressive. Imagine, we go there with 4 small buses during 6 hours. We start from campus USU at 3 pm and arrived there at 10 o’clock! Huahhh, I was tired!

Mungkin panitia ngaret berangkatnya. Kita sih tetep dateng pagi ke kampus. Bukannya langsung berangkat, malah ada materi dulu lah dari dosen, tanya jawab. Aduuh, mau pergi aja repot! Oh iya, ada cerita waktu materi tanya-jawab itu. Jadi gw mau bertanya sesuatu hal sama tuh dosen ttg organisasi olahraga,

“Mister, kalo kita mau gabung di club olahraga gimana ya? Apa daftar dulu atau langsung datang ke lapangan aja, Sir?”

Dan diluar dugaan, mereka smua ketawa2. Gw gak sadar awalnya, apa sih yg mereka ketawain? Kalian tau gak?!

Ternyata, mereka menertawakan panggilan ‘Mister’ gw itu.

Mungkin disini kedengerannya aneh gitu kali ya? Seharusnya, kita panggil dosen itu ‘Dokter’. (Doi udah jadi dokter gigi profesional gt deh coong!) Hahhaa, okeoke! Mungkin gw akan terbiasa nanti, sikap di SDB masih terbawa. So akhirnya, teman2 dan senior FKG ngongek gw. Yah, mereka jd kenal gw dgn sebutan ‘Mister’. Jadi berasa nama gw bukan ‘Dress’, tapi berubah jd ‘Mister’. Hahhaa, jelek!

Begitu sampe disana, kita gak langsung tidur lho. Ada acara2 dulu deh, kayak makan malem, pembukaan oleh dosen, pembantu dekan, ketua panitia, dan lainnya itu. Trus skitar jam 1 subuh, masih ada acara api unggun dingin2 gitu. Sok acara renungan sgala lah, pake nagis lagi, sok sedih aih! Tp setelah itu ketawa2 lg, jd buat apa renungan tadi? Bullshit abis kan mereka!

Di api unggun itulah, sgala kenangan ttg OSPEK berakhir (ciyee bahasa gw gimana dong). Iya, barang2 bekas nya dibakar smua di api unggun itu. Tas karung goni, kalung pete jengkol, nametag, kompeng, dsb. I’ll miss them later. Hahhaa! Selesai bakar2, si senior2 itu keliling minta maaf deh ke kita karena sgala perlakuan OSPEK mereka. Hmmm, dimaapin gak yah? Hahaha, bodo lah, yg penting stelah itu kita makan duren puas2!

Acara baru slesai jam 5 subuh! Parah kan? Jadi lah kita ngantuk2 menuju villa, trus tidur cuma sampe jam stgh 7 pagi. Gilak, gk ngobatin ngantuk deh. Setelah sarapan lelet, akhirnya yg gw tunggu2 dr kemaren kesampaian jg. Kita menyeberangi DANAU TOBA! Wahh, cita2 ku terkabul, hahhaa lebih! Yah, naek boat warna-warni ke Pulau Samosir (Tuktuk dan Tomok). Keren bener deh nih tempat wisata! Aku pengen kesini lagi. Hehhee.

Gitu deh pengalaman Inagurasi gw tahun ini. Minggu malem kita sampe di pintu 1 USU diiringi hujan deras, dan besok Senin nya mulai ada kuliah pagi. Huahh, inilah penyiksaan sesungguh nya. Selamat belajar di kampus USU!
