4 in 1 Social Service

Hellooooo, I come back with a news of social event that I attended last Sunday.
This social event is held by PATRIA Organization, for the village populations at Hamparan Perak Village I-VIII. As I ever told you before, that the mass treatment and health education will be held this month, on May. And here it is!

The activities are included: Hygiene & Health Counseling, Treatment by General Doctors, Dental Treatment, and Distribution of Food packages.
Yes, all 4 in 1 social service!

The location was still very rural
Ocean of human! Around 400 peoples join this.
Hmpph, oke! My face was very very ugly here. I was grim. so heavy?
The staple foods for distribution
The dentists team
The solid team
Penguin doll and the teeth brush from the sponsor (Bank Ekonomi & Pepsodent), for the children who are not afraid to check their teeth! Chubby right?

By following this activity, providing many lessons and valueable experience for me. I saw still a lot of peoples around us who are not as lucky as us. They can't eat the delicious food everyday, and even haven't the fees for health treatment for their families.
And I saw how the doctors and dentists team serve them with sincerity and love. The point is, trying to learn to appreciate life more.

We were very tired actually. But I'm happy become a social worker like this. I hope I can join the social activities again in another time. When I saw their smiles after that, are the best part. Yeah, Smile, Healthy, and Happy are ours together!

PS: Thanks for all donators, sponsors, participants, and the solid team. So this event can be very successful! Hopefully could be useful for all of us.

3 days holiday

Get a holiday for 3 days! From Friday to Sunday. Actually I feel less, but it's an occasion to refresh my brain from the crazy college. Although tomorrow we have to go to campus again again and study. Huaahh!

Went to Mikie Holiday with Intan, Valen, Arisma, Erda, Nurul, Amal, Ikhwan, and Nazim. You  know, this is my first time go to Berastagi. (Wow, finally I can go there after months of living in North Sumatera.) These are the pics:

The girls
Bungee Jumping

Cold but hot? Yess, very shiny there whereas it's windy. Freak! It makes our skin become darker. Wahh, I have to bleach it again.

And on Saturday-Sunday, I join 'saHIVa's training'. This is one of my campus organizations, for the people who care about drugs and HIV/AIDS. Got the new experiences, new challenges, new friends. And I has authorized as a volunteer of drugs XXVI generation. Hmmph, I like social activity actually, but I haven't really sure to become a volunteer here, because of many considerations. But I think, I want to learn before.

--->>> I got an invitation email from Mr. Adi Surantha (fashion stylist). An invitation for front row chair at Pondok Indah Mall Fashion Week 2011: Summer Fashiontastic on April 30th-May 8th 2011. Amazing! I think I'm not really a fashion blogger. I just love the arts, and fashion is one of them. Thanks anyway for the invitation sir, but I live far enough from Jakarta, so maybe can't attend the event. If only I was in Jakarta, I'll definitely attend! :)

PS: Happy Easter, guys! And of course happy egg hunting!

Flood flood!

The very heavy raining from yesterday. And because of that, today we get the trouble at USU Campus:

Photo from Kak Karin

If you want to know, this is my first time see the flood. Hahhaa, speechless!
From gate 1 of USU until gate 4, all flooded. At the shortcut, the back way, also very crowded and jammed! They call it USUnami.
Many students who have come into campus, finally must go back home again because there isn't lecture. Flooding means a holiday. Hehhee, I love it actually. But I also feel pity for many peoples around USU who can't go anywhere because of the flood. Some friends also flooded in their house.

And now, raining has come again whereas the flood hasn't subsided yet. Do you guess that can we go to campus tomorrow or not?

Gue inget bener pas itu gue baca yg judulnya 'A guide of First year on Fkg USU KBK (outline)'.

Hhehehee, thank so much ya bang!
Ohya, aku juga punya hadiah loh buat Blog Fauzi nya, taaaraaaanngg:

Hmmph, oke gue tau, emang rambutnya gak se-lancip itu dan mukanya gak lonjong kayak gitu :p
Maaf deh bang kalo gambarnya jelek, hahaa. Aku gak gitu pinter design grafis, terus aku juga gak bisa ngegambar wajah sih. Apalagi setelah di convert, ternyata gambarnya jadi agak pecah. Yah, terima seadanya ajalah ya bang. :) Sekali lagi maaf bener kalo jelek, gak bermaksud menghina. Hhehee.

PS: Bang Fauzi, kabarin aku ya kalo udah nerima ini. Ntar kalo jelek, tetep bilang aja bagus biar aku nya seneng. Hhahaa.

Survey the location and the lesson of it

Have a great journey today with Patria members. Surveying the location for a social event on May later, to Harapan Perak village.

At village hall, meet the headman

Yah, although the weather doesn't support us, but we still have the spirit to go on. The rain continues and so muddy!
We start on 8 am, and I was very sleepy actually, dreaming of my bed and pillow in my boarding house is so tantalize. Huaah! It's a far journey, you know. But I got the new experience of this.

First, we go to village hall, meet the headman to permit the event and asked for public data.
Then, we survey some houses of local residents. It's very concerned I think, where there are still many poor families, straw-roofed houses, bamboo matting, limited funds. And the healthy lifestyle here is still very very minimal, especially the system of MCK (bathing, washing, and toilet). There's still many houses which haven't the toilets, so they use a public toilet outside. The health facilities are also so inadequate.
Based on it, we are planning to hold a mass treatment on this May. There will also the health education for them.

From here, we can learn to better appreciate life, how to live more simply and not always complain of what we've got. Because there are still many peoples who are less fortunate than we are!

This called LIFE

Yesterday in KMB USU, there was a great event. That's PPO (Pelatihan Pemantapan Organisasi), from the morning until afternoon. I've join this, although so tired and I was sleepy, but actually it was fun! The topics, games, and they also brought some great speakers, who gave us the encouragement.

Thanks for all senior committees who organized this event! No regret to join this.

# By the way, I've just received the information that my grandma had died recently. Sabbe sankara anicca. Huahh, I try to realize that, this called life, we'll never know when we lose someone. Even I couldn't attend her funeral, because of the tight schedule of lectures and also practicum this week. I hope she was quiet there and hopefully get a better life. Saddhu3x.

Life is Amazing!

Attended the charity seminar yesterday, at Grand Aston City Hall.
Topic: LIFE IS AMAZING
("RAISING THE GIANTS AT HOME" and "RAISING YOUR WEALTH MINDSET")
with speakers Mr. Steve Sudjatmiko and Mr. Tommy Siawira.
This event is organized by DPD PATRIA Sumut (PATRIA is a theravada buddhist youth organization. If you want to know more about PATRIA, you can check at www.patria.or.id).

Fortunately, I was also the committee of this event as a receptionist. I've become the committee of Seminar like this in Lampung (Well actually, I'm a PATRIA Lampung's member. But I moved to Medan, and also join here now), but it's my 1st time join the PATRIA Sumut's event, in cooperation with their members. Yess, I'm a part of them now.
There's something different between PATRIA Lampung and Sumut. Of course, here in Medan, the members are too many, and most of them are workers! But in Lampung, just a few, and many students are the members. So contrast, right! In Medan, everything is more organized and more formal.

I'm willing to join this event, although this week I have the block exams. Huaahh!
Because, I always adore the great motivators like them. It seems a shame to miss an opportunity to met 2 great peoples like them. They are very very amazing! They can speak fluently and their topics are not boring like my lecturers spoke in front of the class :). I like the way they deliver the topics. They are also very charismatic, and I was dazzled at them!
Remember that their age was much older than me, so I want to keep my respect, I can only admire them from afar. (Hhahaa, om-om loh!)

The 2 charismatic persons:
Mr. Steve Sudjatmiko and Mr. Tommy Siawira

Something like usual, motivators are always preach to us about success, how it could be. But a good lesson that I learned from them is,
"Cleverness is not enough to get a success!"
Yah I agree that!
A lot of smart peoples in this world, but not all of them are successful.
--->>> So, wants to be what the kind of person are you?

PS: Thanks to DPD PATRIA Sumut and DPC PATRIA Medan, who trusted me to follow this special event! Thanks, thanks, and THANKS!
