Winter 2010.

As we rush through the streets with our heavy coats, fashionable knit h&m hats,  thin leather gloves, in hand our steaming Starbucks coffee, while racing down the streets to class you can't help but notice all the fashionistas walking up and down the streets of Newbury in their fabulous winter clothes! It's very wise for one to take a second and inhale the fashionable trends that flourish Boston when you step on the greenline into a crowded train. Observe the people who are drowned by the crowd wearing their average North face fleece and boring winter clothes. Then search around for the best dressed man in a tailored suit and satisfying style. Glance twice at the women in their heels,  decorated pasminas, flawless sense of fashion and confidence that seems to overwhelm others. Now ask that man by the door to step to the side so you have enough room to observe your reflection. Tell me, what are you wearing? @Sosupremesobad...Are you satisfied? Don't give in and claim you don't have the time to worry about your clothes...that's just simple BULL! There are many stores where you can find just what you need at a price thats not as overwhelming as that lady's confidence...All you have to do when it comes to creating your wardrobe for a new season is to flip through a magazine! There will always be someone that has your sense of style or a style that you can find some inspiration and work off of... Believe me somedays when I look and my closet I go blank...then I flip through a magazine and say "Ahhhh! That's what I'll wear----pink colored jeans, a blue and white stripped button down-tucked in, a blazer and my nine west classic riding boots!" FINDING AN INSPIRATION IS THE BEST PART OF GETTING DRESSED.

Now when your shopping if you know what you need make a list before you leave your house! Skim prices online at the stores you plan to visit...what's more disgusting than an alarming price tag on an item you just fell in love with and drooled on!? Prepare thyself. Check the quality of items by pulling at the buttons on shirts and the stitching on blazers especially but also on other articles of clothing. You don't want to go home with a fifty dollar shirt that's not worth the money. Quality is very important when it comes to what I'll spend my money on. Stay enlightened by the trends that will live forever and the trends that will only last a season because the seasonal trends should be avoided if your shopping on a budget! Remember, designers set the trends every show...on their runways we see items that will be duplicated worldwide by others. Their designs leave the runway and are shipped into the stores where we can afford them---or can't afford them at all. Look at that store and keep it moving because often times that $2,000 dress isn't worth it! You may find better quality at a store like French Connection, Club Monaco, or even H&M! Where your money will be worth the purchase. However, if a jacket fits your standards of high quality purchase it...Don't wait for the sale when everyone will! Sometimes it's best to treat yourself to the finer things, when you can. Now, enjoy these images and I hope they will inspire you while shopping. These are the Winter looks for 2010 on and off the runway...Incorporate these items into your wardrobe with a twist of your sense of style! You can find similar items in stores like FCUK, ZARA, FOREVER 21, BCBG, H&M, Club Monaco, Ralph Lauren, 344, Intermix, RUGBY, and lowkey Boutiques along Newbury. "Good luck hunting!"

For the Rugby, Club Monaco, Brook Broothers, Ralph lauren gentlemen!
Okay well this is the average look on a Bostonian man floating down newbury...
but you can always spice it up with your own style...the texture and color of your jacket can have a major impact...one thing I would actually like to see this winter is a man in a cropped fur jacket. It may sound gross but all you true fashionistas can invision it I'm sure...But anyways this look (above) can be purchased at stores like H&M, Zara, FCUK, and Deisel if you were in hopes to trade his slacks for jeans...I'd suggest destroyed jeans to intensify the look even more.
Just because it's the winter doesn't mean you have to wear only pants...
get familar with the black tights, black shoes, approach...it looks professional clean and formal

I know the average student wears a simple Northface fleece, Leggings, and Uggs... A leather jacket & Pasmina.  It's not too complicating throw on some amazing shades and some riding boots and you will look more like an individual than another Bostonian strutting in her Northface Fleece... #boring

This style is for the professional women. You don't have to wear one entire color...neutral tones like different shades of brown, off white, and gray would also coordinate nicely for a look like this!
